We had the good fortune of connecting with Jadyn Elizabeth Sharp and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jadyn Elizabeth, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Playing the part as a model and actress feels like a risk take every day. Between traveling, networking with new people, maintaining a healthy diet while staying body positive, and keeping the stability of finances, this lifestyle is for sure put on the line. Though I do love the industry that I am in and enjoy working with different people around the world, I have learned the hard way that you must keep your guard up, because not everyone is your friend nor has a kind heart. But even through the risks, I always stay positive and take each moment as a lesson for my future, because the deeper you get in, the worse the risks can take place.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
There is so much more that goes into being a model, content creator, and actress than what people see on screen or in magazines. You must always keep thinking of new ideas. You have to stay on top of your work, and hustle. Your creativity is what stands out from others. Though I never look at things in a competitive way, this industry is all about the competition. It’s not easy feeling pressured to go against others, but when you give your all and you know you are trying your best, you either got it or take it as a learning experience. Some lessons I have learned along the way is to never get discouraged, as everything truly happens for a reason. Always remember there is beauty in every imperfection, and as long as you believe in yourself then you can concur anything.

The main thing I want the world to know about me is that I am passionate about everything I do, and I do it with a big heart. When I am put on a job, I give my all. I believe we are all beautiful and unique in our own way, and as long as you keep the confidence within yourself, you can do anything.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As there are so many great spots to visit in Houston, I would have to take my best friend to Lago Mar for a daytime excursion. I did a shoot out there for Swimsuit USA, and even though we were working it was blast! Between all the good food, drinks, music and water sports, you cannot go wrong with a day at Lago Mar – it is definitely a fun time! Now for the night on the town, my favorite spot is Washington Avenue. There you can find the best places to dance all night, meet some interesting people and overall, some very popular outdoor attractions.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I could give thanks to many people in my life for helping and supporting me along this venture, but I specifically would like to thank my Bebe (grandmother), who has been there every step of the way. She is truly my number one! She brought me to my first ever runway tryouts, she is in the stands at any show I attend, keeps record of every movie/show I’ve filmed in (big or small), and she always tries to make sure that anything I do is for my best interest. I couldn’t thank her enough for all that she does and has done for me along this journey.

I would also like to dedicate a shoutout to my best friend, Abby Elizabeth Miller – owner of Frisky Business INC. She saw potential in me from the first day we met, and she continues to push me to be my best self every day, even after all these years. She is one of the hardest working females I’ve met so far in this industry, and even being the same age, I admire her dedication and the encouragement she gives.
