Hi James, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of Forward Performance Athletes has been my ability to serve others. I started this business with the intent to help educate and continue developing athletes at the highest levels. Being a former professional athlete, I’ve been blessed to share my knowledge and experience with other athletes and have been able to train and work with some top tier athletes of this generation. Consistency and discipline has allowed me to build this brand into what it is today!
What should our readers know about your business?
I firmly believe that my work ethic is unmatched and that’s what truly separates me from others in this industry. I spend hours reading books and studying my craft to stay innovative in my methods and approach to developing athletes. I’ve reached the level I’m at today through consistency, discipline and being a sponge to gaining more knowledge and learning from other Sports Performance Coaches who have been in the industry for years. I’ve been in business now for 7 years and I will say the journey has not always been an easy process. I’ve learned over time that Greatness takes time and without a plan of action you’ll never know how far you can take something if you don’t start somewhere.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely bring them to the Katy, Tx area! There’s so many fun things to do with family and friends. Honestly, one of my favorite spots in the area is LaCenterra! This place has everything for you to do: shopping, great food spots and also very family oriented. I also love all the Food Trucks in the area, if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat and some delicious tasting food, you can never go wrong with the Food Trucks!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I definitely want to give thanks to my parents, sisters and family members for all their support throughout these years. And to my beautiful wife who has supported my vision from day 1, she has spent countless hours in the summer heats and also the freezing winters capturing each moment spent with our athletes and has been the backbone of the business with taking pictures and editing up videos to make sure the quality of the business supersedes all expectations. To every Coach who has ever put time into me I thank each and everyone of you for helping me get to this level in my career. Your guidance and expectations for me has allowed me to never get complacent in life and continue to chase my dream by finding my purpose!
