We had the good fortune of connecting with Jarrod Foster and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jarrod, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Well the LVI is Roman numeral for the number “56”. That was my football number and has been my favorite number. It represents faith, It represents hard work, being vulnerable, stretching yourself creatively, educationally, emotionally, and mentally. I want the stories we develop and people see to challenge issues, norms, and ask that question “WHY?”

There are a bunch of aspects that are included and that will be created within the business that answer needs and fill in gaps that help give more opportunities. It grew as I grew as a person, and will continue that way.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m very excited about a few projects I’m working on right now which is a web series, a docu- series about a Houston dance studio, and a feature script that’s inspired by a true story in my family. The fact that most of my stories come from my experience but I try to cross boundaries and study the market helps me standout. My perspective tends to bring about healing through pain and understanding that this is not our home, redefining what a “happy ending” is.

I’m not where I want to be but to get here has been tough. I’ve lost a lot, been without, and the biggest struggle has been that battle of giving up on what I have been called to do. Having confidence that what I see in my head can translate externally and actually make an impact. If I’m being honest that’s a battle I fight everyday.

What’s helping me and what I finally learned is that no matter how I feel, I’m being selfish to the cycle of the world and spirit if I hold back. The world doesn’t move the way it’s supposed to if I don’t play my role. I’ve played football my whole life and one thing in sports is everyone has a role and job, my job is to deliver my vision and develop until I’m no longer here.

I just want everyone to know that I’m open as a book, that my brand and stories/projects are meant for strength to handle what you have been questioning or avoiding. I want them to expect LVI films to step outside of reality or comfort zones whether it’s the whole project or just a scene. Whether it’s a book, song, or art piece.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Great question,

I would want to first workout. Workout at either Alpha Gym( simply because I still haven’t been lol) a jog and workout at Herman park on the heel and go to my old high school North Shore and get some drills in.

I would definitely have to take them to get some good food. I don’t really have a particular spot that I have to go to but I want to make sure we go to aces that are only in Houston. Take them to a High school football/basketball game and rockets game.

Of course find more places to eat and have a drink. But for sure do some thrift and vintage shopping, do some regular trend shopping. But I would probably document the whole trip.

Definitely set up a friend game night so he can meet some other people and get a welcoming close interaction

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, God has saved me. I’m not what I used to be, and learning as I grow. He has allowed people to be in my life that truly support and understand me such as my family. They know everything about me and all else fails have been there. Over the years I have carved a group of friends who are consistent and been true. I want to thank Shannon E. Johnson form The Professional Pen who I took my first script consultation (Lol sorry I’m way due for another session) that gave me the spark to take what I wanted to do seriously. Shout out to all the opportunities and people I have met where things didn’t work out but I learned a lesson and experienced some good people, all apart of the journey. Last but not least, going into this new phase all the new faces, contacts, and individuals who I have met and connected with that are spending time and energy on helping me achieve my goals.
