Hi Jasmine, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea for my business came from my childhood. This is a family business. My Granny & Aunt had a candy house & use to sell Kool Cups. It was a koolaid juice recipe that would go in the freezer to cool us down. When it was done freezing, my favorite was flipping the kool cup upside down, for more flavor & the ice was softer at the bottom. I grew up & created my own version of the bottom of a kool cup. I put soft premium shaved ice in a cup and I hand make my own syrup from my family recipe. You can put the kool cup in a regular styrofoam cup or a cool fruit shell (pineapples & watermelons) . Our syrup is unique & the flavor brings you back to a happy place of being a kid again. A Kool Tasty Treat To Beat The Heat.

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets us apart from others is our syrup is hand made & gluten free. I’m most excited about the attention we get with our pineapple & watermelon shells because we serve style, unique taste, and good treats. This business brought out a lot of good in me and I appreciate my husband & brother being by my side. They been there since day one supporting and pushing me especially through the difficult times. Coming up with my dream was easy but putting it out there was harder then expected. I’ve learned a lot of good & bad in this business but the best lesson I learned is you can work with family. Having family as my team has been my biggest blessing. I receive so much support, love, and stability from them. I want the world to know this is a family business & our food, treats and drinks has a special ability to bring people together. We call our customers the Kool Family. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shout out my family for the support. My granny, mom, dad, husband, kids and siblings have been my inspiration. My brother has a successful clothing apparel company called WSM and he took me under his wings. My husband also does a lot & is a big part of kool cups. Without my husband & brother kool cups wouldn’t exist, they deserve the recognition, it took a team to make this dream come true.
