Meet Jasmine Rodgers | CEO of Arrived @ 743 Women’s clothing Boutique

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Rodgers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Feeling organized. You know? Like, I noticed when my house is clean,  I feel beautiful, I have my hair done, nails done, clear skin basically When everything around me is in order. It puts me in the best mood.. it’s like the old saying when you look good, you feel good. Well, I definitely Live by that. I also feel that way when customers purchase something and give me feed back on how they felt and looked amazing on important days like birthdays and anniversaries to name a couple. I feel like I played a part in their self care – looking good and feeling good. I just love that shit!..

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Nothing about business is easy. I’ve started so many business and I never felt fulfilled because I wasn’t doing what I love. I learned that, failure isn’t the end all be all.
After so many business and loss
I decided to go back to what I know and stop starting businesses that isn’t for me because the money could be good but inside I hated what I was doing. I decide to start a business that I would love, then that way if I didn’t become as successful ( monetary wise ) as I would like, at least I had fun trying.

I been in the fashion industry since a child. My career pretty much chose me. Fashion has always been a part of my life, from being stopped in a mall as a child, a recruiter for a modeling agency telling me how beautiful I was and that I should consider being a model. Now, I’ve always had a love for all fashion and I’ve always set my own standards when it comes to fashion, being bold and daring, walking to my own beat but since that day in the mall it was like a match was lit. I grabbed fashion by the horns and its been my b*tch since.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a California native East Long Beach born and raised to be exact. I moved to Houston over 12 years ago to be with my now husband. Over the years I have fell in love with crawfish. We cannot be real friends if you won’t eat crawfish with me. So I would take my friend to few places I frequently eat crawfish..
The swamp Shack near the Kemah boardwalk. Since we’re already in Kemah we might as well take advantage of a few games at the boardwalk.
Next we’ll have brunch at ” lost in found” midtown
Later that night we’ll go have drinks at bar 5015 it gets live at night so we’ll probably end the night there.
A few breakfast spots throughout the week would be to
The Breakfast Klub, Another broken Egg, Grace’s, to name a few.
Mid-day we would have some drinks and more crawfish at Prospect Park, BBs Cafe, or Kamp Houston.
At night we would go listen to some live music and drinks at Upper Kirby Bistro
Or catch a comedy show at the improv.
This would be a fun and exciting week for my friend and it would take me 2 weeks to recover because I am such a home body. I do not get out that often. So I hope, I would never have a friend come visit me for a week! Lol 🤣

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband. My husband is the bomb! We don’t have that social media kibd of love where we try to make everything look perfect and secretly living in misery. My husband is my biggest support IN LIFE. He’s seen me startup, and fail in so many businesses I’ve started over the 12 years of us being together. He supports everything I do and is always there to cheer for successes or there to wipe my tears in my failures. I know I’m a strong woman and I can do anything I set my mind to, but I wouldn’t want to do none this without him. He is my rock!
