We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaszlyn Gardner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jaszlyn, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
To me giving up is not an option anymore. I gave up for 10 years losing myself and forgetting I have dreams. You will always have people who don’t want to support you, but at the same time, you have to keep pushing. I had to teach my boys that you can’t give up no matter how hard life gets. Just keep going until you get to where you wanna be. Than everything else will fall in to place.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m proud of how the process is going with my brand. I was so nervous about the feedback from customers, but I had to face my fears, take a deep breath and pray. I talk to plenty of people in the industry and no one was believing in me, so I had to start researching on my own. That’s when I learned that people will not believe in you because of your age or you’re not experience enough like them. I have so much in store for the world to see. I love being different and creative because that’s what makes my brand different from others.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
