We had the good fortune of connecting with Jatin Hemrajani and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jatin, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?
“Follow your passion and the money will follow.” While it is important to pursue work that you enjoy, this advice can be misleading as it may not always lead to financial success. Some passions may not have a clear path to a lucrative career, and it’s important to consider the practical aspects of a career path as well.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are a Houston based company that is a wholesale supplier for all things remodeling. Specializing in Tile, Carpet, Luxury Vinyl, Hardwood, Cabinetry, Granite, Quartz and all Natural Stone! We started off as a retail provider in 2000, while we still service to all of the public we believe you should not have to pay an arm and a leg to remodel your home or business. We strive to offer wholesale pricing to the masses, much like Costco; except we don’t pressure our customers to buy in bulk. Whatever the job; big or small, we are determined to getting our customers the best quality product for the absolute best value. What sets our business apart from most others is we take great pride in becoming personable with all of our clients. We are motivated to building not only a business relationship but also a lasting friendship. To achieve this we offer one to one customer service throughout the entire buying process. Our reps do an amazing job with making each customer feel like family. For many years our great customer service has kept us in business. Before we began our marketing campaigns, word to mouth was the only way customers would hear about us. As we have scaled and progressed, our google reviews and online presence has significantly aided in our growth. Another key reason to our success is we carry 90% of everything we sell in stock. The few items we do not have stock of are usually only a few business days wait. We want Tile Center as a brand to become a household name, and we believe its time for that is near. Our story to remember us by is we believe everyone should be able to afford the luxury of remodeling. While the market has gone out of control, Tile Center has stayed loyal to its customers and have tried to absorb as much increase in costs as possible.
