We had the good fortune of connecting with Jazmyn Hayes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jazmyn, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I knew I wanted to be able to have more freedom than the average person with an earning potential that I was able to control, not someone else. When I got into Eyelash Extensions & Eyebrow tinting my path I wanted to follow become clear to me . I am a certified eyelash technician & eyebrow tinting technician. My passion is enhancing woman’s beauty. One day I plan on opening my own store front Eyelash Extensions & Eyebrow tinting. I want to change the way people think of eyelashes & eyebrows because it is not just a simple accessory , it’s actually luxury.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Mentorship and being fearless with asking questions! I have had the guidance and support of some wonderful people, which has made a big difference. Starting my business was not easy but still found the strength to push through everyday. I have moments when I would question myself and worth. It was not been an easy road at all but this is just the beginning. From those hiccups I was able to learn some lessons about myself, my brand, my end goal and what it takes to get there. I have put my blood , sweat and tears and Lord knows my prayers into developing a brand that I want to become well known in the world.I want to be able to teach women about how to start their business, invest in their craft and overall make a name for themselves .
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting Houston for a week we’d definitely start with brunch at my favorite brunch spot, Taste Bar + Kitchen. I’d take her downtown in the heart of the city at night because is very beautiful site. The next day we’d go shopping because what girl doesn’t love to shop. The mall We’d go to is the woodlands or the galleria. Then go grab lunch at Moxie’s Houston Restaurant they have the best food and drinks I’ve ever had. My personal favorite is their nachos . Yes I know it sounds basic but when you see them I promise their not. My favorite drink there is the Mojito. Later that night go to a known lounge in Houston to hang out for the night . Day three we would go catch up with some old friends and family she hasn’t seen in a while . Have everyone get together and go to Pappadeaux‘s. Day four , We’d have lunch at Gracies their food is to die for. Later that night go to midtown for some nightly fun . Day five Then it’s time to wrap up her visit and go have a spa day at the Woodhouse day spa for a couple hours. Then off to to Brunch at the toast yolk.they have some of the best omelet’s .
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family & My three Guardian Angels. They have always told me I can do anything I put my mind to and not to ever give up on my dreams. Regardless of that, they always believed in me, trusted me, and supported my decisions about professional career. Thanks to that, I have always been self-confident, knew what I wanted from the very beginning, and I never felt lost or gave up .
