We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeff Dume and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeff, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk is essential for all opportunities in life. I wouldn’t be where I am today if I didn’t take a risk to push outside my comfort zone. The risk can be big or small, it just depends on what would be the outcome. Risk has allowed me to move 4 hours away from home to college and graduate. Risk allowed me to move halfway across the country to Houston with no friends or family. Without risk, I wouldn’t have made it past 30 miles radius of my hometown. It has allowed me to grow into myself, not on as a professional but as a man. Every day do something new, cause at the end of the day it will be a day you won’t get back.

What should our readers know about your business?
I started a business consultant business where I help entrepreneurs obtain logos, ideas, sales, partnerships, expanding opportunities, management, operating, networking, obtaining funds, recruiting, and learning how to market their new business effectively. I review their plan and tailor their business plan to help it grow efficiently. I’m more excited about branching out to the Houston market and just getting out in front of many people as possible. I got here to where I am today, from internships, books, and just college courses that got me thinking about how to become my own boss one day. I learned that above all being persistent.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of the best places to drink is the Ice Houses around Houston they have activities, network events, and good food. Places to visit would be the all museums, botanical garden, and the amazing zoo Houston has, on top of their amazing sports events. The best hang-out spot has to be Post, the mix of food with views and events they host, its a world-class experience.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
By far the biggest person that I live for is my mother, but the person that impacted me is Zadrian Gibson. He was a mentor, friend, and big brother. He was the one that showed me hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard. He taught me how to live with purpose, work hard for what I want, how to treat women and emphasize the quality to bring to someones life.
