Meet Jena’: Owner of Jae the Don and Queen Tings

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jena’ and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jena’, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Sharing my personal healing story has been the most important factor behind the success of my brand. Due to my career and my business being somewhat sensual in its nature, I was afraid to be the face of my business. Being my own brand ambassador was the best way to reach and speak to my customers, so many women have a story similar to mine.

What should our readers know about your business?
Queen Tings is currently undergoing a transformation. I am structuring my small mini businesses into one big girl brand… Jaethedon.com is now home to all my tings. Shea so Sexy Skincare, Luxury Lotus Womb Wellness, and Queen Tings combined makes a one stop shop for the evolved, growing, glowing, woman. Authenticity is what sets me apart me other brands, I am my brand, every product I offer is a product I needed first,I use my own products daily and believe in their ability to heal and increase overall wellness.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Earlier in the week we would probably get out to do some shopping and hit a few museums and happy hours. Houston traffic isn’t my thing so I don’t get out much during the weekdays but weekends you can catch me at The Shrine of the Black Madonna grabbing some Suzies and a few goodies from their amazing vendors. I always take people to the beach… because why not? lol Sunday is for brunching of course and I have no loyalty lol where ever my tribe is, is where I’ll be! The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely! I would love to shout out my hairstylist and photography team. Melva Kaye at The Mane Stop! She’s so talented, and she is blessed with growing hands! My hair is flourishing under her care and I couldn’t be more grateful. Whenever I have a last min event or photoshoot she is right there sometimes even on location. Thanks Mel! Th3rd Eye Studios is a 3 man team of Kings with cameras, they are so good. I’ve worked with them a few times over the past year or so and I’m always so impressed with their work. Professional, patient, flexible and so much fun to work with.
