We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeremy Boyd and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeremy, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have always naturally felt that being in sales is just like running your own business, so really the ins and outs of it were essentially covered. Managing schedules, people, time, operations, customers, and initiatives. It’s a natural progression really, and those in my field can seem to juggle many things – whatever comes at them.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have been with the New Times and V Digital Services…. VOICE Media Group known to so many around the country. During my time here, I have been fortunate enough to create many lasting relationships with business owners all over the world. I have managed, executed and sold tens of millions of dollars of revenue for the organization and our customers. Not only this, but we are both a local media outlet with local market advertisers, events and more, but in the much larger fold, we are one of the leading, fastest growing and largest digital marketing firms in the United States. Much of my success and growth has landed within the digital marketing fold where we manage customers from all walks of business. Whether it’s SEO, SEM, Programmatic, Email Marketing, building websites, managing and maintaining them, helping companies with analytics, or helping with e-commerce marketing, we do it all when it comes to digital. We even own a seat on the Trade Desk, are a Meta marketing partner, and are one of the few fully in house, comprehensive digital marketing firms in America. We are also a Premier Google partner which is only awarded to the top 3% of qualifying agencies. We help brands of all types prosper in the digital age.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are a few folks and even organizations that I’d like to highlight here. First, from my upbringing my parents always said, I’d just go into sales and make more than the two of them combined. That was always the running joke. It wasn’t far off. They always encouraged me to do what I wanted rather than follow the expectations that society laid out. During my time in college at Radford University in Virginia, I was given the opportunity to become the founding President of a brand new chapter of Sigma Pi Fraternity, International. We started an interest group in 2001 which colonized in 2002 and finally chartered in November of 2003. There were a few names I must highlight, from Eric Blackwell to Matt Friedman to Jason Beck, who was our Colony then Chapter Director and dedicated so much of his time and life to the fraternity. This was one of the top 10 NIC men’s fraternities. The organization was founded in 1897 and this was a mere 106 years later. Very incredible experience with some great men. This led me to an opportunity of which I’d like to highlight our Executive Office’s Assistant Executive Director at the time, J. David Edwards. Dave called me and invited me to come out to headquarters and work for the International organization rebuilding struggling chapters, meeting with university officials all over the U.S., pitching the organization for expansion efforts, and performing cold start recruitment campaigns on campuses all over North America. This opportunity was incredible, and the efforts during my time shattered all previous expansion records in the organization’s history. It was extremely successful. This move really led me into the path of success I feel I have achieved today through my current work… it all started with one opportunity and I knocked it out of the park.
