Hi Sarah Wright & Jestine Woods, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Sisters Events and Co was created out of passion for helping clients, and creating impactful experiences. Sisters Events knew we had unique capabilities so we joined together to make it happen. During hard times our country faced last year and this year, we are more motivated than ever to purse this mission in creating unforgettable memories.

What should our readers know about your business?
A passion for events Sisters Events and Co was born in 2021 out of passion for helping our clients mold their dreams into reality. We have committed ourselves to creating impactful and creative experiences no matter what occasion. We strive to meet and exceed the needs of everyone involved. This is because we understand the importance of working with clients to make their events unforgettable. What we set aside from others is elevating your event including your expectations and experience. Every business has challenges, we strongly believe with the right support and staff makes our business successful. Things will not always go as planned, but having a positive attitude and mindset helps. We know that our market is competitive, but Sisters Events and Co will provide top notch quality no matter how big or small the event. We want our audience to know that we take pride in our clients projects, our goal is to provide outstanding service and a stress free environment.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Some of our favorite lunch spots we would consider is Taste of Texas, Pappadeaux’s Seafood, or Tres for some yummy tacos. Enjoy happy hour at Jimmy Changas, even some lovely wine and cheese at the Cellar Door.

We will add some extra-curriculum activities such as hot yoga at Big Power Yoga located in BIG Montrose, a massage at Massage Envy, Kayaking at the Buffalo Bayou Park, bike riding in downtown Houston, or check out The Museum of Natural Science.

For dinner, we have to hit up Lotus for so yummy Asian/Cajun food, and Loving hut, or Mickey’s Soul Food. Rockets game would be our entertainment for the night, a night at Top Golf, or catch a movie at Studio Movie Grille.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Sarah’s appreciation post – Behind every successful business woman lies their supporters. I have to first give a huge shoutout to my partner in crime, Roy. He pushes me everyday to achieve the highest goals, as well as challenges myself, and encourages me when I think I am doubting myself. I would not be where I am today without his stead fast love and support.
Secondly, my family stands behind me with supporting our business and attending events to give me feedback on the outcome of events. Lastly, of course my partner, Jestine. We would not be where we are today if it was not for the constant push and strive to get our company to the next level, I would not be where I am with out your love and support.

I believe the best things come to those that don’t give up! I have to first give thanks and honor to God, my family, and friends as they are my number one supporters. My community has given me the strength to never give up on your dreams and passions. Anything and everything is possible. I wanted to give a special shoutout to my friend, and business partner Sarah.
