We had the good fortune of connecting with Joauna Tuck and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joauna, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?

My answer was always the same, “By understanding the rules of value, market timing and trends, knowing what repairs to make that align with Health and Safety Lending rules, which cosmetic upgrades have an actual ROI, how to properly budget overall operating costs, and of course… putting the client’s interests above my own.” I believe that being in the business of real estate and credit restoration I help my community build generational wealth. I am able to educate my community on the value of credit and working towards financial freedom through real estate. A lot of people think that all real estate agents do is take people to look at houses all day or put houses on the market to sell. That is not true for successful agents. To be a good real estate agent you must be a good listener. Not only do you have to listen to what people are saying, you have to listen to what they aren’t saying. What they aren’t saying can speak volumes. You also have to show your clients and potential clients the value that you add as a Realtor. So many agents are busy “selling” that they can’t hear what their client is trying to tell them and miss cues that could make their job easier.

What should our readers know about your business?

I am a Residential and Commercial Realtor for the Houston and surrounding area. I help homeowners with all their real estate needs whether it be selling their home, finding their dream home, and even leasing a space. I am also help homeowners who face short sales and foreclosures. Additionally, I do commercial leasing, helping business owners find just the right space!

I have come from a background of building relationships and serving others. My clients can expect the best from me! They are and always will be extremely important to me. I’m honored to work with every single one that allows me to be a part of their real estate journey.

In order to win business, you need to stand out from the crowd. I believe that my accessibility, collaboration and transparency that I am dedicated to exuding are values that set me apart from the rest. I use these three values in both my real estate and credit business. Both businesses are major components of clients’ life and they have to know that they can trust me with making one of the biggest purchases of their life, selling a home that has been a part of their family for years or helping them build their credit. To get where I am in business today I had to invest in mentors who are where I want to be in my career. You have to always have a mentor in your life who is at a higher level than you to motivate and coach you to your greatest potential.

My brand and company is still growing and we will be making some MAJOR moves in 2022 that you should be on the lookout for.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Houston is a melting pot of so many cultures. I have lived here my entire life and never see myself leaving. If you ever visit and want to have a good time you definitely have to make sure that you eat, shop and enjoy a little bit of the nightlife. If you’re looking to enjoy an upscale restaurant you definitely should try Mastro’s or Thirteen. If you want great food but casual dining then try Lucille’s or Grace’s. If you want to shop the Houston Galleria is a great location or try some smaller boutiques like Lilly’s Kloset, Enstyle or Vanity’s Kloset.

Now I usually enjoy a great brunch or networking event however if you want nightlife check out Midtown, the historic 3rd ward or Montrose.

Whatever your choice of fun is Houston definitely has it all.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mom and my husband have been major supporters in my growth. My mom is always there to lend a helping hand at the drop of a dime. My husband is my motivator and has pushed me to so many of things that have caused me to level up in my career.
