We had the good fortune of connecting with Johnny Canizales and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Johnny, what principle do you value most?
Oh man! I can actually think of a lot. I would say creativity but hmmm, It has to be determination! There’s a reason why. Determination is the ability to keep moving forward, toward your goal or your dream, trying and fighting for it, and not giving up when things get rough or when situations get difficult. The goal is to always to be better than you were yesterday. The goal is to not quit, but most importantly, the goal is to not give up on your dream! And that’s determination for you.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I think we are all creative in our own way. I honestly wish nothing but success to every other artist or creative out there! I think what sets me apart is that I never asked anybody about what I wanted to do. For example, If you want to start a YouTube channel and if you start asking people if they would watch it, Then your basically asking people for something that you already want to do. Just do what you have mind! People will support you if they want to. Anyways, one thing i’m most proud of being the lead role on a television pilot for Spanish networks. Greatest experience ever! It’s never easy to get to where you want to be in life. The challenges are what make this profession so fun to me. I basically create something out of nothing. I have learned a few things along the way. I learned that I need to be ambitious and pursue my goals, but even I fail to achieve them, I can still accomplish great things!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well first, We would have to go to Pluckers. They have the best wings. The next day we could go up to some rooftops and take some dope photos. Bike riding around the city is always fun! We could visit the art museum, go see a movie on a rooftop, and probably go to standard bar and have drinks, The possibilities are endless.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I actually love this! This might take a while! Well… First, I have to shout out the crew! They help me make all my videos, are very supportive in every decision I make. They are all so creative and so hilarious! They are literally up for anything when it comes to making content, But most importantly they’re greater friends and that’s what I love about them. So Jhony, Arry, Vic, Yoni, Ariel, Deris, my little sister vanessa, my little brother Tj, and everybody in between, I love y’all! Also Ricardo, Walter, Ana, My grandma, and especially my mom! Without them, I would be nowhere where I am today, I love you guys! Told you that might take a while! Haha
