We had the good fortune of connecting with Jonathan Grimes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jonathan, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I was already operating an Ebay reseller business before opening my newest business selling my hight ticket closing service. I got hired working for Sony in their call center for a year and quickly moved up the ranks to train all new recruits on the art of sales, upselling, and customer service. An opportunity to work for a growing small business presented itself and they became my first paying client by taking over their hight ticket calls. I have since taken on three clients and my small business is growing. I just wanted the ability to start a profitable business and help small businesses scale. It turns out the 700+ calls a day we handled for a year helped me understand any type of client who calls, how to de-escalate any issue, and grow any business with a proven sales system backed by psychology.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Closing Prodigy is set apart from its competitors because we understand the human psyche, what it takes to close high ticket sales, and how to help your small business establish perfect customer service from inception to close. We are most excited about tripling the income of our very first customer within 2 years. We got to where we are today by establishing stable growth spurts, and consistent customer conversions. We had some initial challenges building autonomy as some small businesses are not used to not being in control, but once they got used to the increase in sales they became much more comfortable with letting go. The lessons we’ve learned along the way were to listen to our customers, streamline their business models, and make it easier for them to focus on the growth of their companies and we can focus on their sales. We want the world to know how progressive we are when it comes to increasing sales, reducing redundancy, and establishing new tactics to help you stand out from competitors.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would tell them to go to the strip to enjoy a good time since it has everything you may need to see or do in Las Vegas. I would take them to each hotel in order to taste the food, experience the shows, and listen to the music.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my sister Benaiah Poindexter who gave me my first shot at entrepreneurship in a new field. Her company Scalp Prodigy was my first client and she created the springboard to grow my budding small business. Her company was already doing well, but with my help she will reach her first $1,000,000 in sales early 2023.
