Meet Jonathon Porchia | Owner/Head Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jonathon Porchia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jonathon, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important thing for us is our brotherhood and culture. With carrying the vision from our founders Eddie and Chris, I’ve taken on a Herculean task in ensuring we are apart of the community but also a second chance for others. Our fans and family remain our driving force in all we have done.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We are a 501(3)(c) organization that provides stable opportunity for players ages 18 and up to further themselves in a college or arena football program. We have been blessed to meet many coaches from different programs. So far, we’ve aided atleast 5 athletes with their progression to either collegiate sports or more advanced leagues. Our biggest accomplishment was having a player make the practice squad with the New York Giants! We don’t believe in giving up on anyone we know we all just need that one person to say “yes”.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Welp, anyone who knows me understands I’m a family first person. We build and stand on that as an organization. I would say we would definitely go eat maybe a few food trucks and later go to Steak 48. We could go catch a few games but I also have to show him how we do at practice. I would of course have him eat and break bread with my extended family.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First, we give all glory and praises to God for allowing us this opportunity. Without him, none of this is even possible. Secondly, our families, fans, online supporters, players, amazing coaching staff as well our event management team for their tireless efforts in making sure we provide the best experience for both the fans and athletes. We are completely overwhelmed with the continuous support! Currently, our sponsors are Mayesh Flowers, Pro Timberwoods, Houston Distributing Company, and Vee Handyman Assembly. They are all vital to our success. Lastly, our “#igotyour6” motto comes from our devout servicemen and women such as myself. For that, we are truly thankful.
