We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Parker and Aliyah Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordan and Aliyah, what is the most important factor behind your success?
We believe that the most important factor being our success is authenticity. Personality aside, it’s no secret the core of our brand is being plus-size women. However, we like to discuss many other things such as what fuels our confidence, our insecurities, dating success, woes, being millennials, amongst much more. As plus-size women in this society, we know that it comes with many different layers, so we have no issue openly discussing those topics with our supporters, and we hope they appreciate that.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We think what sets us apart from other podcasts again is the core of being based on plus-size living and highlighting all body types. Today in mainstream media, there is a standard look regarding what plus-size women should look like, and we are breaking that mold. Reminding people that ALL body types deserve recognition. From hourglass to pear to inverted triangle. All women should feel seen and represented, and as we grow and learn, we’re incorporating that in our brand every way we can.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We love a good vibe. Good food, music, hookah, the works. Some of our favorite spots in the city are Upper Kirby Bistro, Moxies, Amahle Bar & Restaurant, and Kamp Houston, but honestly, there are so many great bars, restaurants, and lounges that you’re guaranteed to find the vibe you’re looking for. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We want to recognize all the other Houston podcasters who are making waves in this industry! Vocalizing your thoughts and opinions for people to hear can bring on a wave of different emotions. Should I or shouldn’t I say something? Is this too controversial? But overall, it’s your platform, and the people who agree will continue to support it. So to the podcasters using their platforms to bring attention to whatever you deem important, we support you. Keep doing great things!
