We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan & Eboni Brazell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordan & Eboni, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Our main thought process behind starting our non-profit was to create an organization were youth can be to exposed to different opportunities that this life has to offer that they may have not seen or heard before. As well as providing examples and being role model on how to flourish in all aspects of life.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Here at Community Cultivation Inc. we are determined to impact our communities through service and presenting better opportunities to our youth. Although we are still in the beginning stages, our resiliency to continue to do what is needed such as hosting annual back to school events and volunteering within the community continues to inspire others. God gave us a vision that we would be pillars in the community and with help of our experiences through youth development within Harris County and student success throughout Houston’s Independent School District, we were able to use these things as a tool to get us where we are today. Nothing ever came easy for us, but in partnership you learn to adjust and move forward through whatever difficulties may arise. We stuck to our plan which in the end will allow us to bring our vision into fruition. We are in the process of creating summer and after school programs to help children grow academically, socially and emotionally, as well as developing transitional living homes for youth who are aging out of the system. We will provide mentorship, teach life skills, and self supportive strategies. Our goal at Community Cultivation Inc. is to enrich and empower our communities to Live Learn and Grow!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Friday I would start at the Turkey Leg Hut to vibe and eat some of the best food in Houston than head to Grooves Houston my favorite happy hour spot. The next day I would take them to get Houston’s downtown experience and Go paintballing at Urban wars. After hygiene care and a littlie rest head over to Prospect Park and end the night eating at Houston’s Breakfast Klub restaurant.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost We would like to shoutout our family and friends that have helped us along our journey. Next, we would like to Shoutout the organizations that we feel have helped us significantly as were organizing our 501c3 Non-Profit. Houston’s I Just want to grow up program organized by Tarik Cooper SR, Houston’s G.L.O.R.Y mission ( God Loves Our Righteous Youth) organized by Jermaine and Tasha Domino, Unpacking Your Purpose Ministry founded by Glenda Hyde, Houston’s The Missing Piece Foundation organized by Anjelica Markray and Author Tanisha Manning the founder of Engaged Voters. Without the support of our family and these AMAZING organizations we would not have made it thus far. THANK YOU!!
