We had the good fortune of connecting with JORGE BRICENO and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi JORGE, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
Never rush anything, if you have a new business wait on it to require you more, meaning this when your business demands more time, effort, attention and money from you that’s when you notice you are growing.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have been working in oil and gas for the past 17 years, nowadays i am a Project Manager for Offshore operations.
Being a immigrant and coming to a new country to start a new life has not been an easy road, in 2017 i had to start from zero and within 7 years i have made my way up in the company that i work, having held at least 5 different positions in the past 6 years.
One of the biggest lessons i had to learn was to never give up and keep pushing forward.
We are dedicated people and have a particular love for the art of cooking to a level that nowadays we compete against the best teams in the BBQ world.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would definitely tour the best BBQ spots in the city.
Art craft breweries.
Astros Game of course
and if time permits would go to Austin

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate it to my family and friends and specially my Partner Rafael.
