We had the good fortune of connecting with Joshua Trundle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Joshua, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Success is subjective. I feel like everyone defines success differently. To me success is the impact you have as well as how happy you are. With that being said I owe my success to multiple contributors. My parents who each play a significant role in what makes me who I am today, My friends, family and mentors who constantly speak life into me, put me in positions to continue to grow personally as well as professionally and support everything I have going on. Lastly I have to say I play one of the biggest roles because of my resiliency, simply having the vision and willingness to bet on myself.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m a serial entrepreneur but one of the main titles I focus on is being a fitness professional. I have a fitness brand called Do You Fitness LLC that has helped a little over 4 thousand people around the states so far. We cater to a few different type individuals with the many different products/ programs we have in place. There’s a coaching aspect to my brand where I teach other entrepreneurs how to reduce stress and boost productivity while getting in amazing shape with or without a gym. We also help moms looking to get their confidence back through our Sundresskiller program.
Throughout the past 6 years building this brand up has not been easy by no means. Business in general is already tough, then once you add life and the many different trials and tribulations you have to face on top of that it gets even tougher.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned thus far during this journey, is that personal development is key to continuing to level up within your business. Every new level in life and in business is going to require a better version of yourself to overcome it. If you’re not willing to constantly evolve then you’ll fail!!
What I’ll like everyone to know about me and anything I’m attached to is that I’m authentic. Anything I decide to bring to the market or teach, its something that I personally experience or something I use myself. For example, with me coaching entrepreneurs how to reduce stress and boost productivity. I’m basically teaching the past 6-7 years of my life and how I’ve been able to grow mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially. I just cater it to each individual.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m actually still pretty new to Houston. I’ve been here for a year now but there’s a few spots I like so far. The places I’ll like to go eat (in no particular order) black walnut café, Pappadeaux, Gloria’s, Bellagreen, The Greasy Spoon, Breakfast Klub and we’ll just explore from there,
I like chill fun vibes so I’ll go somewhere like Discovery Green, 77 Degrees lounge, Amahle lounge, Phis & Dereks, go kart racing, paint ball shooting and depending on the person we’ll explore the city to see what else they have to offer.
I do like the Midtown and Galleria areas so far though
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My spirituality has gotten very strong throughout my journey so I owe everything to God. God has placed this vision inside of me, has placed people in my path who’ve been assets to my journey. Given me the abilities to want to constantly become better as a businessman and entrepreneur.
