We had the good fortune of connecting with Juan Erdmann and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Juan, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
There are many ways our business helps the community, I think all successful businesses help the community by creating job opportunities and socially distributing most of the money received,

In particular we help by giving opportunities to students doing internships here, we help them begin a career, gain experience and develop their careers within our company or at other companies that require previous experience.

We help our customers be more productive and competitive in the global marketplace, promoting their growth and increasing their business with all the social benefits this brings to our society.

We do this trying to make the smallest impact on our environment by recycling all our waste from our production process.

What should our readers know about your business?
We develop machines and assembly lines for the industry. We have been in business for more than 25 years and started being a very small one person operation. We offer very personal service to our customers and the machines we make are custom built, specifically designed to meet each of your particular needs. We form for long term, mutually beneficial business relations in which all the involved parties receive their corresponding share of the success. This helps us have our customers coming back with work, our employees remain in the company, the banks keep supporting us, etc.

I believe a business has a life cycle as a baby, you need to take very close care of it when it is born and as it grows it passes through the same phases as a human. It is very interesting noting our business has very much had a parallel development as my children. Now they are young independent adults and I would say my business is in the same position, which lets me focus on more strategic work and not that much in the day to day situations.

It has not been easy, you need to put one brick at a time every day, be constant and not run so when you turn around you find out you have built a cathedral.
I can not remember a particular decision or action that could be responsible for our success. success is the result of many small decisions and actions that happen every minute of the day by all the members of our team.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I very much enjoy driving around Texas, in particular the Dallas-ForthWorth area. Love all the green you see while driving.

I would visit downtown, the Sundance Square and Stockyards area. Have a good meal in one of the restaurants.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are many books and articles that have provided me with lots of knowledge that has helped me in my life, but not only famous persons, I think everybody in our life knows something or has an ability in a particular area that is better than us and from whom we can learn something.

I always like and enjoy meeting people and having the opportunity to find the area a person is good at and the things I can learn from them. I have learned great lessons from persons I would not think I could.

My shoutout is for all the great people that have teached me lessons from the shades, people that know more about life itself than many famous coaches.
