Meet Julia Serbina | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Julia Serbina and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Julia, what are you inspired by?
My family inspires me, I feel their love and support and I know that I am lucky to have them. And of course, Art. I have amazing abilities to look at a blank canvas and see the image which will be soon there. I love to paint women, their shape of body, lips and I think women become more powerful and stronger every single day.

Also traveling, this is my biggest love. I visited more than 35 countries, inspired by beautiful nature of Bali, tasty food of Italy, skyscraper of Dubai, blew my mind in Zanzibar and fell in love in Paris.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m an artist. First my meeting with art started when I was a small girl and fell in love and really inspired how I can put on empty canvas everything what I want, and results was wonderful. My first studio was Petrikovskaya Art School (it’s Ukrainian national ornament), after that my mother decided I have talent and next 5 years, I spent in Art school.

I remembered how in school time all kids played in parks and I always spent my time in art school, I was so inspired.
For today I had private exhibition during Fashion Week, in Ukrainian gallery. My art live in USA, Germany, Ukraine, Dubai etc,

I want to tell if you want to reach something in your life, you need to work hard, nothing can happen from the first step. Sometimes you can win, next time no. But always need believe in yourself and move forward.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love it when my friends come to visit me, we always have fun time. So first I think we will start with Nasa Space Center Houston, best place to know something new and big. And then I want to show gorgeous beaches, the city’s beautiful weather, stunning waterfront views, and world-class facilities in Galveston, Texas. The Texas city is famous for seafood and filled with unique restaurants, cafes & coffee shops. Best place to have fun and enjoy every single moment.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First of all, I’m thankful to my Teachers from Art school and Anastasia Riabceva from Lilia Stepanova Art School. All people, which we meet in our life are not spontaneous. They bring vector where we should move in future and I’m so happy my first teachers opened for me creativity world, where I can create and be inspired. Also thanks my mother she always believes and support me. I hope you take the time to recognize and thank the educators and mentors you know and the profound effect they have on the lives of those they teach. No matter the subject, being able to offer knowledge to others is such a gift.
