We had the good fortune of connecting with Julian Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Julian, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
I’m still trying to figure that out. Being that my business it”s a one man show it’s hard not to think of your labor of love. I find myself constantly thinking of ways to interact with my audience, content to create, marketing strategies. Along with that i try to dedicate at least one hour a day everyday to practice and perfect my Craft, which includes Microblading and Ombré shading. Don’t get me wrong I do take some time to decompress and relax, but growing my business is always on my mind.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What I am the most excited about is the endless possibilities for Xclusive Artistry this is only the beginning of the journey I have so many plans.

I got to where I’m at today by taking a chance and investing in myself. I’m the type of person who can think of endless “what if’s”, but you’ll never know how much you can accomplish if you live in the fear or “what ifs” if you keep stopping yourself from achieving your goals. I learned it’s ok to take chances and if something doesn’t work- don’t give up, learn from it, think what could I have done different, how can I grow from it but don’t dwell on it for long.

It wasn’t easy getting to where I’m at today, but the journey has definitely been one hell of a ride- I honestly didn’t know I could be the person I am today, it’s amazing how much you can do if you just take a chance and believe in yourself and your dream. To see my growth from day 1 to where I’m at now is one of the best feelings in the world.

I’d like the world to know that when they sit in my chair whether a it’s for Microblading or makeup my goal is always to make you feel empowered. I specialize in all skin tones and take pride in all my work.

My clients are literally free advertisement which is why it’s so personal to me for them to leave feeling nothing less than fierce and knowing they chose the right person to trust.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
God of course because for all his blessings, my partner really encouraged and supported me they knew I had the talent and eye for Microblading. I always say my mom’s one of my biggest inspirations and the reason I’m in the beauty industry. I have these memories as a child 6-8yrs old attending these cosmetology classes with my mom I always say that’s what sparked my interest, I’d watch my mom get ready and see the transformation not only outside beauty but the confidence I saw when she was glammed out. That’s the same type of confidence I strive to give my clients. I always say You never know how much you can change someone’s day with just a little makeup.
