We had the good fortune of connecting with Kachelle Kelly and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kachelle, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
A sense of freedom. To create change in the world while monetizing my purpose and claiming my time. To do life with restrictions, to leave a legacy.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Nothing worth doing or having is easy so no it wasn’t. But when you understand you are called to do what you love and as cliche as it sounds, it truly doesn’t feel like work. Overcame challenges through lots of prayer, faith and support. I’ve learned to give myself grace to take the necessary time to recharge and to use every disappointment as an opportunity.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would most likely cook for her at my house and invite friends over. I’m the house where we come together and enjoy one another. If we were going out, I’d take her to Honore’s for crawfish, Rockhouse on Sunday for brunch, Off the Record downtown for 90’s hip hop and drinks. To the art museum for an exhibit, Goode & Company Seafood for lunch, massages at The Houstonian Trellis Spa. And for a bit of fun, on Almeda to 5015 or Faces.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents who have been my rocks throughout my life. Although I lost my dad 2 years ago his support and influence remains my driving force. My Girl Gang, my core group of friends for over 20 years who have been my support system and sanity throughout my journey. Particularly, my BFF who is my #1, the best friend a girl who can pray for. All the customers who have supported every endeavor I’ve had and who has rocked with me all these years.
