Meet Kaden Davis | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaden Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kaden, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I started to pursue a creative career in order to give myself outlets to express myself freely. Freedom of one’s true self is my biggest drive, whether it’s through words, art, music, etc.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When I first started creating my art, I always said I do art strictly for myself. I would create many different kinds of projects, but always keep them to myself. I was slightly nervous about how people would perceive it and if they’d judge my art style. Everyone around me would ask if i’d sell my art pieces, or showcase my music, but I was still uneasy about the possibilities. Eventually, I decided that it shouldn’t matter what other thought about my work if I’m doing it from my heart, and not seeking recognition. My biggest lesson: Just go for it, live life to the fullest!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of the best places to visit for me in New Orleans would have to be the river front, to enjoy the breeze and the sense of peace it brings. Another place I’d recommend going is to City Park, with a sno-ball. I just enjoy to be in nature.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am thankful for my family and friends who constantly inspire & encourage me to keep bringing my creative ideas to life. They all inspire to take chances in life & share my gifts with the world around me, no matter how the world may perceive it.
