We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaitelynne Bell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kaitelynne, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I alway loved makeup as a little girl I remember watching my grandmother do her makeup everyday and wishing i was old enough to do mine .So when i got of age to start doing my makeup I literally stayed up all night just watching YouTube videos of girls doing there makeup and the next day practicing on myself.So i knew makeup was my passion and my Great Granny (Nanny) is my biggest inspiration my grandmother had her on Beauty business and I just loved hear stories about her journey and having her on business doing what she loved . So when i was taking the first baby steps in staring my business i just remember knowing what i want to sell and how i want to become a MUA but i couldn’t come up with a name and i was seating in my Great grandmother living room 3months pregnant and she keep telling me if the baby a girl you need to name her Viola and the name just stayed with me. I did some research on the name and it was also Great Grandmother middle name i just felt like God was leading me and guiding me to my purpose in life and he still is to this day .
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What i’m most proud of in my business is the Growth process.When I decided to start my business I was going threw so much,I had just found out I was pregnant I was unemployed and I wasn’t really in the head space I want to be in.So when starting i didn’t know how to begin or even start But with the help of my mother she help me write down a business plan and even help me buy products so now looking forward im soo proud of my progress i learned so many thing with starting my business and im just grateful and blessed,Yes there somedays i think “what did i get myself into” but at the end of it all I know what God has for me and I know his plans for me so i let his will be done!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love love love taste Bar there food is perfect literally the Best restaurant in Houston.If you decide to go out to eat there please try there chicken and waffles I promise you want regret it. I also love to shop at the Galleria .The Galleria is the place to be there’s so many stores to choice from in the Galleria, even when i dont want to spend money i go to window show and just look around see what the hottest new things. But when i want some peace and quiet or even just want to spend some time with my daughter i love going to memorial Herman park just seeing different face and having little picnics is just as much fun as going out .
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
