Hi Kamisha, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My motivation for launching my own business stemmed from a desire to empower women to feel confident and beautiful while applying and wearing makeup. I aimed to develop a line that simplified the application process and offered a diverse range of products to help women achieve the looks they desired. Growing up, I often felt limited by my complexion when it came to experimenting with colorful eyeshadows or bold lip colors. Therefore, I created a makeup line specifically tailored to address these concerns and cater to a wider range of skin tones.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
In my career, I serve as a Training Specialist. My passion for training ignited when I was given the opportunity to train others, witnessing how my guidance enhanced their skills and career trajectories. Pursuing this path further, I earned my Masters in Learning Technology and Design, which enables me to showcase my creativity and skills in graphic design.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting the area and I wanted to ensure they had an unforgettable time, I’d kick off the week by treating them to relaxation at Escape Spa and the nail shop. After unwinding, we’d grab a quick bite to eat and indulge in some shopping. For dinner, we’d head to a nice restaurant in either the heights or downtown area, although our plans might change given our simple preferences. The rest of the week would be filled with various adventures like riding four-wheelers, playing laser tag, tackling an Escape Room, engaging in building and crafting activities, and trying our hand at painting. Finally, we’d make time for some much-needed napping!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to express gratitude to several people in my shoutout. Firstly, a big thank you to my mother, who came up with the brand name Kissy K and has been a tremendous help at all my vendor events, along with my sisters Kendra and Kaylin, and sister-in-law Dree. Additionally, I want to shout out my friends Latrice, Tabitha, Akemya, Cee Cee, Tabitha Johnson, and Amoree for their unwavering love and support. Their belief in my brand fuels my determination to never give up.
