Hi Keisha, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
KDA Markets is a vibrant hub based on a foundations of love, creativity, and connection; where communities and business owners thrive where community thrives. We empower local artisans, nurture bonds between small businesses and neighbors, and champion sustainability,  making every visit a celebration of community spirit where hearts and neighborhoods bloom.  We love witnessing small businesses flourish, fueled by supportive shoppers and market opportunities, while laughter fills the air as neighbors connect.

We believe in the power of local talent and small businesses. Our markets provide a platform for them to shine, directly injecting income into the community and boosting the local economy. Each “k”reator, each designer, each artisan and small business owner represents a local dream flourishing, weaving a thread of hope. into the neighborhood’s tapestry. Together, they create jobs, strengthen our community, and inspire us all to chase our own local dreams.

But our heart truly sings when we see the social magic unfold. KDA Markets become melting pots of shared laughter and connection. Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
My life as a Market Host/Event Planner is definately woven from passion, purpose, and hustle. not just about tables and fees; it’s about fostering a vibrant family of “k”reators, designers, artisans, and small businesses. I find immense joy in connecting them with each other, with customers, and with the wider community, building a sense of belonging and nurturing creativity that extends far beyond the market day. I believe this is one of many things that sets us apart.

Every market experience offers unique learning experiences. I’ve learned to think on my feet, utilize resources effectively, turn challenges into opportunities, and communicate clearly with and seek advice from our vendors and communities. Their invaluable advice has helped me build trust, cultivate a welcoming atmosphere, and establish a reputation for quality and inclusivity.

As much as I love hosting marketsand events, it’s not always smooth sailing. Competition is fierce, keeping things fresh is a constant challenge, and the logistics can be a whirlwind. But my passion for empowering creativity and promoting local talent never wavers. Seeing artists thrive, communities come together, and joy radiate from smiling faces fuels my spirit like nothing else. It’s a reminder that the long hours, unexpected hiccups, and endless to-do lists are all worth it. Because in the end, I’m not just hosting a market; I’m weaving a legacy of creativity, connection, and community spirit, one vibrant thread at a time…and that makes everything worth it.
