We had the good fortune of connecting with Kelvin Louie and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kelvin, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
My ultimate goal in the real estate industry is to be an inspiring mentor and leader, guiding fellow realtors in their careers. I prefer not to be a broker due to the extensive responsibilities involved; a team lead role is more suitable for me. My focus has never been solely on money or fame, but rather on helping people and making a positive impact on their lives through real estate transactions, whether buying or selling.
What should our readers know about your business?
My business, KL Integrity Group of SKW Realty, focuses on helping people navigate the real estate market while upholding the highest standards of integrity. We specialize in property management and market analysis, offering transparent and honest services without making false promises. Leveraging a background in marketing and event planning, we use data-driven strategies to enhance our marketing efforts.
What sets us apart is our commitment to transparency and honesty; we don’t sugarcoat information to create false hope. I take pride in building a team and helping them grow in their real estate careers.
Starting wasn’t easy, and I faced doubts in my initial months. However, once I realized my passion for helping others, everything changed. Overcoming the fear of failure and embracing openness were significant challenges. I’ve learned that confidence and continuous improvement are key.
KL Integrity Group aims to make a positive impact in the real estate industry by prioritizing people and striving to be one of the best teams. Learning from mistakes is crucial for growth, and we are committed to becoming better every day.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If you were one of our friends visiting Houston, here are some favorite spots in the city. First, Norigami is a must-visit for hand rolls, with a cute speakeasy perfect for a date night. Second, Kata Robata offers flavorful and creative sushi creations.
For drinks, Houston has numerous classy speakeasies; a quick Google search will lead you to some of the nicest bars in town. For a fun hangout spot, Katy Asia Town is the place to be, with attractions like Andretti, PopStroke, and The Dugout.
These will probably be my top things to check out, if you were to visit Houston.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
How did I get started in my real estate career? I received a lot of support and encouragement from my friends, but there was also some negativity when success started to come my way. Throughout my journey in real estate, I’ve been fortunate to have good investors and friends who have inspired my growth. First American Title Hedwig, Fatco Bellaire, Christina Tran (@CTFlipsHouses), and her mentor Vinh Truong (@vinhxtruong) were instrumental in propelling me toward success in my real estate career. Countless nights of learning, trial and error, tears, and sweat have shaped me into who I am today. I dedicate my success to the dear friends who have supported me. I also owe a great deal to my very first brokerage with Joseph Khuat (KA Realty), which helped me learn the ropes of the game.
