Hi Kemmye, what matters most to you?
Authenticity remains the most fundamental aspect for me as an artist. I always try to stay true to my identity in my music production and songwriting. My songwriting, most of the time, is about personal experiences. I enjoy remaining true to myself and expressing my emotions. In this age of social media, there is always a new trend and sometimes a loss of identity. At times the algorithm appreciates the act duplication. As an artist, I never try to create songs based on trends. It defeats the purpose I have as an artist.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am so proud of how I have grown musically over the years. I remember starting, and I would barely have any engagement. Now my songs are heard in many countries. From a young age, my musical journey began. This journey is not easy; I have encountered many challenges. In life, we will face challenges, but those challenges should not define who you are. I overcame those challenges by remaining positive in all circumstances. Some people would assume success happened overnight, but that is far from the fact. Consistency and dedication are essential. At times I would be in buildings with individuals who judged me based on my age. They would question if my artistry is for just online fame or if I’m passionate. I want the world to know I will always stay true to myself.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite go to spot to hang out with friends is pistoleros.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout my music engineers, distribution, and marketing teams. They help me to deliver my art for the world to hear.
