We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenneth Daugharty and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kenneth, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The initial thought behind starting a business was to create freedom for my family and I. With having a wife in a wheelchair, she’s still superwoman and children at home that we homeschool, we wanted the freedom for us to embark on things together and fully be involved as a family more often than not.
Second I have an eye for detail and niche for cleaning. One thing that drives me to want to make improvements is when I see things done bad. After trying two cleaning companies in our home, I knew I could do better and there is a better way of doing this. People want peace and zen when they come home and one of the best ways to fill that is in a clean home.
What should our readers know about your business?
Customer service and doing it right the first time. I will go the distance in my area of business to make my clients happy. We don’t cut corners or nickel and dime our clients either. We pride ourselves on giving the clients more than what they paid for.
I came out the gate running which on the surface seem wonderful, but not working on my business as much as I was working in my business had me running blind.
Spending a lot of money on marketing not fully understanding the platforms I was using and how best to use them. Definitely have to make sure that you are getting a return on your investment with whatever platform you are using to market yourself.
Covid shock everyone which left everybody learning how to redo a lot of things. The way I got back on track was to ensure my customer that I’m here to help by keeping your homes and businesses clean and disinfected. Learning how to cut cost on overhead.
Our brand is a family brand. We understand the day to day hustle of a home, and we combined two things we are good at, helping and cleaning to hopefully bring some peace of mind.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love food. Places like Mico’s Hot chicken The travelers table. The heights and Main Street for some night time fun. I love trails and walking paths so Hermann Park and a few spots in Spring. With serval professional sports team definitely would have to check out a home game.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
It would definitely be my wife, my sounding board and voice of reason. Always encouraging and speaking life into me.
