We had the good fortune of connecting with Kent Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kent, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The process of starting a mobile champagne and oyster bar involves a combination of my personal entrepreneurial vision, market analysis with from the help from the S.U.R.E program at the University of Houston, and creative thinking. A mobile champagne and oyster bar stands out as an unconventional and premium offering. It combines the elegance of champagne with the freshness and luxury of a raw bar experience. Before launching my business market research was essential. This includes understanding the target demographic, analyzing competitors, and identifying trends. In this case, the research I discovered revealed a growing interest in luxury food and beverage experiences, particularly in upscale events, weddings, corporate gatherings, and other special occasions. Combining complementary elements was essential also the thought process involved the fusion of two complementary elements which are champagne and a raw bar. Champagne is often associated with celebrations and luxury, while a raw bar offers a selection of freshly prepared seafood, creating a unique culinary experience.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My go to places in the city of Houston and surrounding areas will be my favorite stop at the legendary Breakfast Klub for breakfast located in Houston’s Midtown area. You can’t go wrong with the Fish and Grits or Wings and Waffles. The food always seasoned to perfection with welcoming customer service that greet you with a smile each time. For lunch we are having Fadi’s Mediterranean Grill in Sugar Land, Texas with is also one of my favorites. The quinoa salad, lemon herb potatoes and grilled vegetables are my favorites to indulge in with a side of pita bread baked fresh all day long and a side of tzatziki sauce. After lunch we will take a trip over to the Museum of Fine Arts Houston to view some amazing artwork. Also located across the street from Museum of Fine Arts Houston (MFAH) is the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston where we can enjoy more beautiful artwork from famous artist from the history books. Since are in Houston’s Museum District we will end the night at Bar 5015 for food, drinks and live entertainment.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
“Think and Grow Rich” is a personal development and self-help book that helps me still to this day. The book was written by Napoleon Hill back in 1937 which is still very relevant creative minds in 2023.The central premise of the book is that success and wealth are largely the result of a person’s mindset, thoughts, and attitudes.including business magnates like Andrew Carnegie, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, and more, to distill their success principles and philosophies into a set of principles that anyone can follow to achieve their goals such as myself. Overall, “Think and Grow Rich” remains a classic in the genre of self-improvement literature and has inspired countless individuals such as myself to adopt a more positive and proactive mindset in pursuit of their goals.
