We had the good fortune of connecting with Khindall Dennis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Khindall, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursue an artistic or creative career because it was different. You are able to be your true self when being creative. It’s a feeling for having control of your emotions which shows through my work. 

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me part of others photographers is that I treat all of my clients like family. Our communications are open to one another. For my its not about money its about experience and allowing others to feel and express themselves through portraits. Getting to where I am today took a lot of patience, guidance and positive energy. I started my business with little to no money all I had was just a dream on becoming successful. It took 7 years to get where I am now but I am beyond grateful and will do it again if I have to. My brand was built on a High School graduate from the Katy, TX area that want to be able to find herself in the eyes of others and as well through a lens. LensUp Photography is much more than a brand. Everything my business is, is everything I am plus more.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Favorite spot in the city itinerary with friends will always have to have some amazing foodie trips to restaurants, food trucks. I am lets go with a flow type of person with a side of adventure and enjoy the time we have with each others. Just be in the moment.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give recognition to my family and definitely my husband on pursuing my dreams of photography into becoming my own person and life experience.
