We had the good fortune of connecting with Khoa Le and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Khoa, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
For my entire life, I have always had an intriguing connection to boba. It has been a dream to be able to start up my own boba tea shop and provide the local community with my own take on classic drinks and toppings. I have taken the duty upon myself to create something familiar but unique. I introduced the Bear Jelly topping which was the first shop to carry it, if not the only, in Houston.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am proud to have one of the unique boba tea shops in Houston! I introduced a Instagram- worthy, tasty Bear Jelly toppings and further progressed by introducing other animal jellies as well. It was not an easy journey. But with the hard work and efforts, we were able to pull through together. Some lessons I have learned is to not be too independent. There are times where you need to count on others such as the amazing management team and all the employees.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I highly recommend visiting Chinatown! There are lots of food, dessert, and boba spots! Other spots include the parks, Buffalo Bayou, and even the Waterwall!

Shoutout to all the boba tea lovers! As a mutual tea lover, I hold the upmost respect to everyone who has joined me along this journey and trying out all the drinks and items I have to offer. They are my inspiration!!!
