We had the good fortune of connecting with Kim Ngan Huynh and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kim Ngan, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always had a heart for creative designs and styling florals. During my residency for Nuclear Medicine Technologist Program at my medical school and seeing critically ill patients everyday. I was extremely stressful and sadden me day after day. I knew that lifestyle wasn’t for me and decided to pursue my passion “Creating designs that bring happiness tears”. At first, I was creating designs for friends and families to enjoy this new lifestyle that I have been passionate about. Toward the end of 2019, I’ve started to receive inquiries after inquires about my designs that I have posted on my personal Social Media platforms. Seeing my passion is being appreciated, it pushes me to start learning about the industry and following my dreams to creating a business that I can honestly say I love what I do.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Creativity is endless and I absolutely love creating new designs to ensure every events is a unique one. The journey was definitely not easy, every business has its own challenges but I’m glad to face those challenges doing what I love, the feeling of creating our client’s visions on their Big Day is truly incredible. I hope Kim Events would inspire others with “If you can dream it, you can achieve it”
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Houston is such a wonderful city. We can almost try all the foods around the world all in one city. I’d start with a few great breakfast/brunch spots that are include Backstreet Cafe, EggHaus Gourmet, The Rainbow Lodge, etc.. Save a couple days for Chinatown on Bellaire Blvd. where you can see asian cuisines every red light. Head to newly opened POST Houston or Railway Heights for some local beers and enjoy Houston city life. Houston Museum District and Rice University for absolutely stunning architectures.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would not be where I am today without the help and support of my families and friends along with the entire Team Bee at Kim Events. They play a tremendous part of Kim Events success and I can not thank every single one of them enough.
