We had the good fortune of connecting with Krystal Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Krystal, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always wanted to be an entrepreneur. I knew I wanted to open up my own dance studio in my hometown. I wanted it to be meaningful and serve a purpose in my community. I wanted to give young dancers the opportunity to express themselves through the art of dance.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others is that. My studio is a diverse dance studio. Our dancers are able to enjoy the art of dance and learn who they are in the process. Watching my dancers come alive at their end of the year show is so amazing, because they have grown so much.

I managed to build relationships professionally, to have patience, and to trust the process. Things have not been easy. This journey has been tough but with God anything is possible. Planning out EVERYTHING and trusting GOD for all things.

One thing I’ve learned over time is that everything is a process.

When God has already revealed the purpose and plan for your life, you have to step out in faith. When it’s for you, there is no worry in that. Believe in the plan and trust God for all things.
Krystal is a trailblazer, exhibiting tremendous leadership and determination not only for herself, but for her students and staff. We want everyone to know it’s “DGD4L”

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love a good place where there is music and dancing. I enjoy listening to different types of music so a nice lounge is where me and my bestfriend would hang. Something with food and a nice unique vibe.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost I want to shoutout my fiancé Kevin Seymoure. He believe in my dreams and made my dreams his dream. He has been my #1 supporter. My two daughters Chaslyn & Kaylee, they are my motivation everyday. When I feel like given up, I look at them and their smiles and I know that its all worth it. My Staff, Jasmine Lopez, LaKesha Sanders and Chelsie Scott who have been with me since we opened our doors 3 years ago. These ladies are amazingly talented and I love them so much for being apart of DGD4L.
