We had the good fortune of connecting with Kwame Chavers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kwame, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
I don’t think when people mention the opioid addiction problem in America, they are not considering that these are prescribed drugs to patients from their “loving” Doctors. How does our business help the community or the world? We represent the answer to the opioid problem and many more ailments that most of the community is treating with drugs that have side effects. These side effects keep the trips to the Doctor in full swing. It is an awesome time that the government is allowing the use of alternative medicine as a source of healing yourself. We are here to spread the word of what Cannabis can really do!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Absolute Truth CBD. The name says a lot from the start and every time we say it, it’s a way of always holding ourselves accountable for providing the people with quality products that we know are effective and that we can stand by.

What sets us apart? The fact that no product makes it on our shelves without us trying it first is the first part. If we love it, you should too is how we think of it. This company was not started by a Doctor or even a Nurse. It was started by two very concerned parents about what to do for ourselves and our children. So we studied and studied and studied about CBD until we truly knew our stuff. We have been awed by so many success stories of what CBD can do that we just want to be a part of the change.

What are we most proud of? Our biggest moment so far was formulating our own CBD Brand. From our Broad Spectrum line up to our Full Spectrum + Support Line up. Our Tinctures not only have 1000 mg of CBD, but they are formulated for the Stomach, Mind. Body, and Respiratory Systems. We have added mushrooms such as Lions Mane, Chaga, Reishi, and Cordycepts. We have also added other goodies such as Ginseng, Chamomile, Green Tea, Turmeric, Rasberry Ketones and much more to maximize your health experience with each product.

Second biggest moment is our Daughter Kai Chaver which is also the store manager. She has formulated her own all natural and organic hair growth and strengthening serum which has gotten a great response. I even use it and my hair loves it a lot!

How did we get here business wise and was it easy? Having a vision, a goal, and an attitude of “keep getting better”. It has been one hell of a journey. It has been nowhere near easy, but it is rewarding.

The challenge with CBD is that it is new and there have been a lot of changes since day one. Keeping up with them and the forever changing laws is a challenge. Covid was our biggest hurdle so far. It is hard for us to live without interacting with people. So no shows, pop ups, and festivals that bring in quite a bit of our income was a huge challenge.
To overcome some of the challenges we started a delivery service which is free over $50. We ship for FREE over $50 as well. We offer lots of sales and discounts weekly to keep the community engaged.

Terrible thing is that I am not that interesting at all. I am a slight workaholic, but the spots I would hang out that I know about would be: basically instead of a week I could give you a killer day..lol

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My biggest shoutout is to my Aunt Dolly Simpson. Because of her and her battles with Cancer and chemotherapy, I became a CBD fanatic. After she passed, we found so many ways that CBD would have helped her to possibly still be living now. We want the world to know that there are alternatives to traditional medicine without the side effects. So, to my Aunt Dolly, thank you for the motivation to continue!
