We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyle McClue and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kyle, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
We started Mad Nice because we felt that our experience at events in the city was becoming repetitive and not all the time very welcoming. Thus, we made it a point to craft together events that were not only unique and original but also gave people a feeling of inclusiveness. We wanted you to feel that no matter who you are or where you’re from, that you’re welcome to come and that you should get ready for a fun time.
What should our readers know about your business?
We pride ourselves on providing great entertainment and service that people will enjoy. We enjoy creating innovative event concepts through our signature Mad Nice events and for our clients. We’re a People focused company that strives to be of service and engage the surrounding community and the people within it. We’ve created an entertainment ecosystem where people can enjoy entertainment in-person such as our What A Vibe event where we like to say it’s “Your Music, Your Party” and from the comfort of their own home through our Mad Nice Radio online series.
The road hasn’t been easy. Going over a year without being able to do our in-person events due to COVID was pretty touch. However, it did provide an opportunity. It helped us go into the online space where we built out an entire online series called Mad Nice Radio where, first, we conducted online streams with different DJs both domestically and internationally to now having programming 6 days a week which not only feature djs but talk show formatting on the new Airtime App. Plus, we’re back to doing our in-person events such as our What A Vibe party and a food tour event in collaboration with Houston food blogger “My Southern Brand” called The Gumbo Club: Black Food Tour.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would like to give a major shoutout to anyone who has attended or took part in any of our events, would it be an in-person or online event. We’re a People focused company that strives to be of service and engage the surrounding community and the people within it. We always like to say that we’re more than event curators but community organizers. So, shoutout to everyone in the Mad Nice community.
