We had the good fortune of connecting with LaSausha Walker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi LaSausha, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My decision to start my own business stemmed from the desire for freedom and financial prosperity. When I relocated from Michigan to Texas, the struggle to secure time off from my 9-5 job for family gatherings became evident. This led me to ponder how I could take charge of my time and generate income simultaneously – thus, entrepreneurship became my path. Through entrepreneurship, I attained the freedom to design my schedule and the potential to earn limitless income. Starting with one business, I nurtured it to a six-figure enterprise, and leveraging its success, I launched two additional businesses, each also achieving six-figure revenues.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I got where I am today because I desired greater control over my time and financial independence. The journey wasn’t easy; while I knew my objectives, I was uncertain where to begin. Overcoming challenges involved open conversations with friends and family about my aspirations. One friend, also seeking to break free from the 9-5 grind, had a mentor with connections to a newly opened life insurance company in Texas seeking agents. Though initially hesitant, the opportunity aligned perfectly with my goals. Despite the security of my 9-5 job, I recognized this chance as a blessing and a leap of faith. While my friend left her job promptly, it took me a year to summon the courage to step away from my comfort zone and embrace the belief that this path would manifest the life I fervently prayed for each day.

A few lessons I learned along the way was believe in yourself, always speak positivity, be consistent, be a student of your business and just because it didn’t work of the first time your tried doesn’t mean you failed. It means to get up and try again till you get it right. Never give up.

What set me apart from others is my unique skills, mindset, attitude, drive, passion and why.

What I’m most proud of is moving from Michigan to Texas, stepping out on faith to creating the successful businesses.
