We had the good fortune of connecting with Leah Stasney and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Leah, what principle do you value most?
The value that resonates most deeply with me is empathy. Empathy, the ability to understand and share the feelings of others, is fundamental in fostering connections, nuturing relationships, and building communities. Its a guiding pricinicple that encourages us to look beyond ot own experiences and consider the perspectives, needs, and feelings of others. This capacity for empathy leads to greater compassion, kindness and understanidng in our interactions.
Empathy matters because it influences not just how we treat those closest to us, but also how we interact with strangers, how we address social issues, and how we make decisions that affect others. Its the foundation of ethical behavior, social justice and personal growth. By prioritizing empathy, we can contribute to a more inclusive, caring and connected world, where people feel understood and valued. In essence, empathy is not just about connecting with others; its about recognizing our shared humanity and acting with intention to make the world a better place for everyone.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets you apart from others?
What truly distinguishes me is the unique blend of my global career in interior design with a profound pivot into the health and wellness sector. My experiences across different cultures, from Angola and Equatorial Guinea in Africa to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico and across the USA, have imbued me with a rich understanding of diverse ideas and traditions. This global perspective, combined with my shift towards health and wellness in partnership with a leading bio-tech company specializing in photo light therapy, showcases my adaptability and a forward-thinking approach that integrates technology with wellness.
What part are you most proud or excited about?
I am most proud of my ability to transform and impact lives through the integration of fitness instruction and cutting-edge technology, offering transformative health benefits. The shift towards creating a community centered around well-being and spiritual values represents not just a career highlight but a personal mission. I’m excited about the potential to inspire healthier, longer, and more active lifestyles, advocating for a balanced life that prioritizes both physical and spiritual well-being.
How did you get to where you are today professionally? Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges?
My journey was not without its challenges. Transitioning from a successful career in interior design and architecture to health and wellness required not just a leap of faith but also immense dedication to learning and adapting. The key to overcoming these challenges was a combination of continuous education, resilience, and an unwavering belief in the importance of health and wellness. Collaborating with a heart-centered bio-tech company further solidified my path, allowing me to leverage my leadership skills and passion for community well-being.
What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way?
Several lessons have been instrumental in my journey:Embrace change and be willing to step out of your comfort zone. The importance of cultural sensitivity and adaptability in a globalized world. The power of integrating technology with traditional health practices for holistic well-being.The value of community and supporting each other towards common goals.
What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story? I want the world to recognize the transformative power of integrating health, wellness, and technology, all grounded in a community-focused approach. My journey is a testament to the belief that it’s never too late to pivot towards a path that not only fulfills you personally but also has the potential to make a significant impact on the lives of others.Through my work with the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation and other charitable organizations, I’ve realized the immense value in giving back and building a legacy that champions both health and literacy. My story is one of continuous evolution, learning, and a commitment to contributing to a world where well-being and spiritual values are central.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
What I wish I knew 25 years ago…. If I could share one thing to help any person succeed in life it would be to help them think differently. I have learned to think differently in just the last 3years! Today I am living a LIFE that I had lost sight of and HOPE for! My life is so full of abundance beyond anything I could dreamt of, and each day is better than the previous!
What we think and how we think makes such a difference in what we do and how we do it.
What I learned in 2020 has changed the trajectory of my life. It has given me the ability to dream beyond my wildest imagination. We live in a world in 2024 where we allow our thoughts to settle in places in our mind that does not make us feel good nor serve our perfect self-expression thru God’s eyes! When you can live each day free of “life’s” stresses, and full of joy and love in your heart for helping others, your cup will stay overflowing with passion and intentional living, aligning with your life’s desires!
