We had the good fortune of connecting with Leslie and Ashley Paz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Leslie and Ashley, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
Our inspiration comes from all the strong, hard working women in our lives. We grew up surrounded by women who knew the importance of working hard to accomplish the goals you set for yourself. For example, my grandmother was a single mom of 6 kids living in Mexico, she worked long hours at multiple jobs just to provide for them, all on her own. Those kids, my aunts and uncles, are now the most hard working people I know. Since moving to the US from Mexico, they all pushed through all the hardships and managed to succeed. They inspire us to be the very best we can be, to show the next generation that anything is possible with a little hard work and determination.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We knew starting a business wouldn’t be easy, but that didn’t scare us. We made a commitment to the each other as a team to work hard and push through the bad days because we knew the outcome would be much greater. As a team, we all have different backgrounds, but once we brought them together, this little idea turned into something much more. I believe what sets us apart from others is the attention to detail we provide to each and every set up. We take the time to build relationships with our clients to ensure that we have every bit of information possible to bring their vision to life. We customize items and get personable with our clients so they know and feel relieved that planning a party can be easier than they imagined.

Of course we had challenges along the way, but since then we have weekly meetings to discuss all upcoming events so we have everything in order to provide the best possible experience to our clients. These weekly meetings have helped us a lot when planning for all the events we have scheduled.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of our favorite spots in Houston is Buffalo Bayou Park. They have an amazing view of the Houston Skyline which we think everyone who ever visits Houston needs to set some time aside to go see, they won’t be disappointed. We would start with a fun brunch picnic at the park followed by spending the rest of the day at The Museum of Fine Arts. We would end the night by visiting the Secret Garden in Downtown Houston, it is such a fun little place to hang out. Houston has so many fun and unique things to do, from museums to parks to fun restaurants. A few of the other places we like to visit are, the museums, Houston Zoo, Axelrad, Pitch 25, Truck Yard, and so much more!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We want to dedicate this to everyone who raised us, to the women we met along the way, and to all the women who supported us no matter how crazy the idea was. It is such a huge encouragement to know that you have a group of women behind you, supporting you in any and every way possible. To have someone believe in your dreams goes a long way and can push you to be the very best version of yourself.
