Meet Logan Martin | Business Owner & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Logan Martin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Logan, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I was born and raised here in Houston, Texas. I grew up in a southern styled home with five siblings and loving parents. My father and mother adopted my three sisters when I was four years old. At the time of the adoption my father was the only parent who worked. He made just enough to support my two brothers and myself, so bringing three more little girls into our home very quickly became a challenge in itself both mentally and financially. My Father raised us to work our hardest, to put your all into everything you do and to never give up on your dreams. I got my first job at 15, at a local barbecue restaurant, a few years later I moved to a steakhouse, a manufacturing plant, and eventually I began working for an Emergency Room. After highschool I was accepted into college where I studied business as well as working at a local restaurant in order to make enough to pay my bills back home. College was an amazing experience and it taught me a lot, but the one thing it taught me the most is life is to short to wait around on your dreams to come true. My biggest dream in life is to build a company that will enable me to support a family of my own. To raise my children just as my father did and to teach them to never stop working your hardest to make your dreams become a reality.

What should our readers know about your business?
I created All Motors Detailing as a way to set my business apart from the start. Yes, we detail your average everyday vehicles but we also clean those that aren’t so common. We extend our expertise to off-roading vehicles, motorcycles, boats, RVs and Campers and more. Beginning my business was far from easy and still has its many challenges. At the start of my business I was also working at an Healthcare Revenue Cycle company. My goal was to build my company with as little money out of my own pocket as possible. I paid for equipment and supplies and for the next seven months every dollar I made detailing I put back into the business. For those seven months I worked part time at my other job and lived off that income while working long and hard hours building my own company for no pay at all. I believe my business has many more challenges in front of it but after those first seven months I believe there is no challenges we can’t face and overcome.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Houston is full of great and exciting things to do with friends and family. Personally I love the Northwest to south west side of Houston. Spanning from Old town Tomball to Katy and everything in between. Within just this small area of Houston there are so many amazing restaurants such as Torchys, The Papa chains, Taste of Texas and so many more amazing places to eat. Entertainment alone will keep you from ever being bored. From bowling Allie’s to movie theaters, Andretti’s and Top Golf, it is hard to go an evening bored at home. There are so many amazing opportunities to grow in the Houston Community and that is why I am proud to call Houston the birth place of my business.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Father and Mother are the sole reason I am where I’m at today. They supported me every step of the way and encouraged me to never give up. They also provide there vehicles as test subjects for my idea for a detailing business. Without them I would never have learned what I now know. A huge shout out to my amazing girlfriend Victoria who has had my back through rough times this past year as I started my business from nothing and endured the stress of making it what it is today. One last shout out to my amazing community of friends and fellow houstonians who have allowed my dream to become more and more of a reality everyday!
