We had the good fortune of connecting with longliveadamariz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi longliveadamariz, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor is to spread positivity. I strive to make designs that uplift people. Not only that but all the profits I make go directly to me making new music. With that new music I also try to spread positivity as well as a message of hope. It’s all about impacting the people alive to be better and do better, but not only that feel better, which will in return help them live better.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As an artist, I try to not just specialize in one art form. I got into designing not too long ago and started with simple cover arts. Currently I make about 5 designs a week, mainly for my merch line. This is honestly one of the achievements that I’m most proud of currently. I’ve had many fans over the past 3 years ask for merch but due to money issues and lack of other resources, I was not able to provide my fans with good quality merch they deserved. Through my merch, I want people to be inspired by my story of never giving up. I had many chances to do that these past years. However, by not giving up I’ve seen my fan base grow, my streams increase, and the opportunity to not only sell merch, but have real people buying shirts with my name or design on them.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I honestly don’t get the opportunity to go out much but when I do, it usually does include my best friend. Since she actually lives in the same city as me I feel like she’d actually be a better planner than me but for the purpose of this question we’ll pretend that I actually know how to make plans. As far as our friendship goes, we’re always down to eat Chick-fil-A. I think we’d most likely go on a picnic to a park and eat our meal there. The next day I’d say we head to the Galleria area, possibly heading to The Color Factory, I’ve been wanting to go and heard it’s a great place to go with good friends. After I’d suggest eating nearby at 100% Taquito. Another day I’d say we’d stay closer to Katy and get boba tea at either TeaTop (there’s also a Chinatown location) or The Teahouse (there’s also one inside the Galleria mall). I would at least dedicate one day where the weather isn’t too hot, to walk around downtown and see what cool spots there are to either take pictures or eat or just hang out. You honestly never know what kind of awesome places you’ll find. Another place I’ve been wanting to go but have actually been too is Ceramics by Tess. That’s a nice place near Cinco Ranch where we could also visit La Centera after to walk around and find some place to eat.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’ve had many people who have supported me through the years and who have continued to encourage me. With my merch launch, one of the greatest help I got was from a photo shoot I did with a good friend of mine. His name is Edgar & you can look up his work by googling Anchor Studios Photography or by visiting the link below. I’ve posted the pictures he took on all the social media platforms and I have gotten so many compliments on my designs and also on the pictures he took. He truly helped me capture the essence of what my merch was about. I’d definitely recommend him to any and everyone!
