We had the good fortune of connecting with Mae Renee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mae, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
The end goal for me professionally in my career is for Mae Renee to become a household name and brand.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Modeling is my art. It is my form of self-expression. It is my passion! What sets me apart is my hunger for more, my desire to always be better. I am constantly working on learning about and perfecting my craft. Modeling has many different forms and I strive to be fluid in as many forms as I possibly can. This career is not something where success comes overnight nor is it easy. You really do have to work at it E V E R Y D A Y ! There are countless super late nights and hella early mornings. One of the biggest lessons I have learned is to manage my time better. Time management is a MUST and with being a mama bear and working a full time job on top of a full time modeling schedule, it is something I try my best to wrangle day in and day out. It’s hard AF sometimes!! But I just try and always remember my “Why?” I think about the endgame. I read a quote the other day “If you did not come from a rich family, a rich family needs to come from you.” That spoke volumes to me!! Now that is all I hear in my head when I face challenges (believe me there will always be challenges) and those words just light a fire in me and I’m ready to conquer the world! I am really excited for this next chapter in my journey. This year I’ve turned the dial up even more on honing in on Modeling and I can just feel in my soul that this is what I am meant to do! What I want the world to know about Me and my brand is that I am not going anywhere….. MAE RENEE IS HERE TO STAY!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
On a week long girls trip in Houston, I would take my bestie to brunch at Rustic, we’d hit up the spa too! Next we’d spend some time at The Museum of Fine Arts or The Museum of Natural Science. Of course some shopping would be involved, and for that we would have to stop by Miss Robinson Fashion House in Rice Village. A few days in the sun would be spent at the Marriott Marquis Houston by the lazy river pool and then dinner at Nobu!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout is to several individuals who over the years have inspired me, motivated me, moved me and helped me grow. Of course my mama is number one! She has been there through literally everything. I’m going to buy her a house with the success of my modeling career. My sister – for always being there to help me decide on Instagram layouts, just to chat, and for giving me the cutest niece in the world! They say when you have a sister, you have a friend for life. That’s big facts! My girl Lena Luxxe!!!!! She is such a beautiful soul and has such a big heart! She inspires me to use my platform and brand to help others. She is a force to be reckoned with and she will make you fall in love with yourself, like dead ass. I freaking love her! And lastly my boyfriend, I know I know, that sounds super cheesy. But he has been the biggest supporter of me pursuing my dream career. I cannot begin to put in words all that he does for me!
