We had the good fortune of connecting with Maeghan Freijo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Maeghan, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
After working in corporate events for several years, I found a passion for planning and coordinating weddings, bridal showers and birthdays. I dabbled for a bit, but found a specific interest in weddings and all things wedding related. Something about bringing two people together on the best day of their lives gives me so much joy. I found a fun way to bring my own organizational skills and creativity to a business.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We have always prided ourselves on providing excellent service, as well as taking any and all stress away from our couples and their families on such an important day. Our team is always willing to lend a helping hand, step in to take over where another fell short, and do everything we can to ensure a perfect, stress free day.
Personally, I learn something new with every event, whether it’s about the process, how to handle people, or improve our own skills in designing and managing such a large scale event. Improvements can always be made, and that’s how we stay at the forefront of our counterparts in such a competitive business. Our pricing may not be the lowest, but our couples know they are always getting excellent service.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First, we’d start out at Tout Suite for a cup of coffee and a chicken biscuit, and maybe a macaroon. It’s one of the best ways to start the day! We’d definitely hit some of my favorite restaurants like Rice Box, Little’s Oyster Bar, or to try a little of everything at Underground Hall. You have to stop for drinks at Little Woodrow’s, one of my favorite places to catch a Chiefs or Texans game, and the environment is absolutely one of a kind. I’m all about unique activities, so we wouldn’t be able to miss Activate or Seismique, do some shopping at Ironworks, or hit up the Game Show Challenge.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wouldn’t be where I am without the incredible brides & grooms who trust me with their perfect day, as well as my ‘friendors’ who help make these perfect days possible.
