We had the good fortune of connecting with Malcolm Farrell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Malcolm, how do you think about risk?
At this point of Malcolm Farrell’s career, risk is something he has had to overcome every time he saw it. Risk is something that Malcolm has paid for in the past for not taking it in a bad way. He realized cannot let fear decide his future and his outcome with acting no matter what. 9/10 he’s taking that risk so he can at least say he has tried and left it all out on the field like how some people say. The role of risks that have played in his life and career has been a major one. It showed him that to make it in anything in life had to get over those fears and take any opportunity he saw to change his life. Once he started to do that, everything started to fall into place for him and his career.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Malcolm Farrell loves his art dearly in so many ways. What sets him apart from others is he has this handsome look about him but can also play different roles that you wouldn’t expect him to play. You can never judge a book by it’s cover when it comes to his acting. He’s most excited about where his career is going in the near future. He has been getting a lot of great feedback and people are noticing who he is and what he can do. It took Malcolm 10 years to get where he is at and he wouldn’t trade it for the world. A lot of time and effort, which was far from easy for him. Countless hours, auditions, and classes to get him where he is and he’s not stopping no time soon. Some lessons he has learned along the way is to never quit no matter what. It may be hard today but it shall pass. He also learned how to market himself greatly with his craft. Malcolm Farrell wants people to know that his brand is ambitious, positive, and consistent. You can make it if you continue on grinding day to day.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Malcolm Farrell would take his best friend to Lotus Seafood for the first stop. Malcolm lovessssss Lotus seafood in Houston, Texas, They have a wide variety of seafood and wings. Some of his favorite things to get there are the “Loud Pack”, which has fried rice, crawfish, and shrimp in it topped with their famous crack sauce. He also loves their fried lobster, that’s something that changed his life. If his best friend was to visit for a long stay he would take them to the Breakfast Klub in Houston for breakfast for sure. They would have :otus again because you can’t get enough of that dealing with him. Malcolm would take his best friend to Prospect Park, The Address, and Bowling. Malcolm is very good at bowling and he would enjoy that a lot with his friends. All of the museums in Houston are really great and Malcolm is a fan of them all so that’s definitely more places he would take them to check out.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Malcolm Farrell is super thankful for a lot of things and people that guided him to where he is at right now in his career with acting. First and foremost he appreciates all of his acting coaches/teachers that has helped him mature and grow in his craft. Starting with Sara Gaston, Heather Williams, Deke Anderson, Troy Rowland, and Ricky Catter to name a few. They all have helped Malcolm in tremendous ways they don’t even know and he remembers every second of it. He also praises Bonnie Gillespie a lot for her book “Self Management For Actors”, which showed Malcolm where he was at in his career but also taught him the business inside and out and what he has to do to better himself moving forward.
