We had the good fortune of connecting with Marbella Espino and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marbella, what matters most to you?
Integrity is an important value that I’ve tried to instill in self as I navigate the journey called life and in my business. Doing the right thing even when no one is looking, molds you into an exemplary individual. Being impeccable with your word takes you far and nothing in life will ever be too impossible. In a society where everyone wants to get ahead and cut corners people want someone who they can’t count on, especially as a service provider.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
It’s true when they say you are your biggest enemy. You learn so much about self as you grow through the entrepreneurial process. You break yourself to remake yourself, but also learning to be gentle and keep pushing forward even with the odds against you. The key is to not limit yourself and take time to yourself when things get to overwhelming always keeping your goals in mind and not getting distracted by what you can’t control.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If one of my friends was visiting from out of town I would take them out to eat lunch at either local foods or Urbe, they have a variety of foods that are savory without leaving you feeling stuffed. I would invite them to the museum before dinner and drinks at a Oaxacan restaurant downtown called Xochi where they have authentic food an a vast menu of drinks to choose from.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
