We had the good fortune of connecting with Marcus Bell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marcus, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Got tired of being where I was at, a loser going no where but an average life style. I wanted more, to become more, share my story and create a new way of life for my family. Change my family tree of “just getting by” to self discipline, self respect, being relentless, never backing down, never giving up. I would rather die giving it everything I got than die of regrets. I wanted My business to be a reflection of everything I said.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We’re a group of world changers through strength of the mind first before the strength of physicality. We’re direct and don’t have room for excuses, we are a brand of discipline, try, fail, reset, create. We help anyone who is willing to change in your job, business, sales team.

Im excited about where the team is headed. We’re changing a culture from complainers to champions. The business got to where it is because we have great people who believe in what the bell brand stands for and what we’re doing. No it wasn’t easy, nothing is unless you want a hand out. Being able to put yourself out there is already a challenging thing already. Being turned no, people telling you no, your a joke, its a waste of time, get real. Reminds me when being employed always being over looked. I am an underdog, i believe it’s underdogs who have the biggest impact on people.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m more of a laid back luxury type of setting, in Houston, Juliet’s restaurant is a great place to be. Food is wonderful, environment is on point. House of blues on top floor where you can wine and dine. A place next on my bucket list is to eat at eddy’s. 713 night market downtown is. Great place to get in touch with your local vendors and food.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My work ethic in the beginning came from my parents, always taken care of the essential things in life, hard work keep your head above water. In order to seek uncharted waters you got to venture out further than what your taught in the beginning. I got a round a great organization called LTD (leadership team development) for a few years learning how to think and grow rich, owning a business, running a business, thought process of a business owner. After my time with them. Ventured off to learning more about john Maxwell and his training and got a chance to meet and speak with him in person. I’ve read over 30 books my first 2years in business to change my thought process from good to great. My favorite book so far is the book “Relentless” by Tim Grover. My success and the things I was able to obtain and share is because of the Bell Army of the The bell group. Without them, I wouldn’t be able to keep fighting.
