We had the good fortune of connecting with Mark Sean and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mark, what do you attribute your success to?
We formed the band almost 8 years ago. I think sticking with this project through the ups and downs has been the key to success. We started playing in local venues in Austin, Texas, and now we are touring the nation.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being in a rock band is about entertaining people and bringing a larger-than-life experience to the stage. It takes years of trial and error to develop a confidence on stage. Off stage, you have to put in the hours in learning your instruments. Then, you have to pay your dues by playing to empty rooms for next to nothing. Rinse and repeat, and get used to constant rejection just before the tide starts to turn and you begin building an audience and engage with other bands and industry partners.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In Austin, Texas, we love to hang out at Come and Take It Live. It’s a music venue that supports all genres, and the staff have always treated us with the utmost respect.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We’d really like to shout out to our creative partners for sticking with us over the years. Taylor Fredricks has directed and produced all of our music videos. Omar Vallejo at 512 Studios has produced all of our albums and singles thus far.
