We had the good fortune of connecting with Markus Milano and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Markus, what role has risk played in your life or career?
While attending Sam Houston State University, I learned risk-taking is the key to becoming a successful entrepreneur. But! Take smart and calculated risks. Make sure that the risk you’re taking is a realistic risk. To me, a risk is anything you do in life. There’s always a failing factor. You can’t be scared of risk-taking. What’s the point of living life without risk?

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started my independent record label in 2008 in Austin Texas. Since then, I opened an in-home studio in my hometown Huntsville, TX in 2020. My studio business, “Studio 3652” took off! In less than a year, I closed on a house within the Houston area during the height of the COVID-19 epidemic. Future aspirations are eventually opening a location within a business building for starters. Then, opening and owning my own building somewhere in the Houston area.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Breakfast/Brunch spot. The Breakfast Klub. Lunch/Dinner spot. Pluckers Wing Bar or The Turkey Leg Hut. For drinks, it would have to be my neighborhood bar, Dukes. Dinner spot for sure if they are not from this area got to be Pappadeaux hands down.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would first and foremost thank God for my accomplishments. Nothing would be possible. I would like to shoutout my wife, Constance Hendrickson. Just having her support me means a lot. Another shoutout goes to my biggest fan. My son, Mark Jr. I enjoy being someone’s hero. He’s the key factor why I wake up everyday and do what I do. And final shoutout goes to my artist/business partner, Glenn Merchant Jr. aka Lot-P S.T.A.R. We make this music business look easy!
